Community Warm Welcome Spaces - staying warm
What is a Warm Welcome Space?
Community Warm Welcome Spaces will be opening up again across Adur and Worthing - meaning residents will have somewhere to keep warm for free this winter.
Warm Welcome Spaces will offer people who are worried about the rising cost of energy bills not only the chance to keep warm, but also aim to reduce social isolation with group activities or a welcome cup of tea.
When will they be open?
A handy map of all the Warm Welcome Space venues across Adur and Worthing is available to view below. If you click on a location on the map it shows the times they are open and where it is. Residents will easily be able to find one close to where they live. The map also includes the locations of Warm Welcome Spaces run by West Sussex County Council and those set up without funding from the councils.
Who can go, and can you just turn up or do you need to book a space?
Anyone can attend a Warm Welcome Space, just look on the map, see what location suits you.
There's no need to book a space, just turn up.
We look forward to seeing you at a Warm Welcome Space soon.
We are currently putting together a map of the locations of the Warm Welcome Spaces - it will be added here soon.
Warm Welcome Spaces Grants
Grants are available to community groups that have a venue suitable for use as a Warm Welcome Space. The money can be used to help offset expenses like energy costs, staff and volunteer costs or the purchase and hire of equipment.
