Petitioning for elected Mayors
In accordance with Legislation, Adur District Council and Worthing Borough Council each have to publish the number of local government electors required for each local government area for determining the validity of petitions received under the regulations.
The regulations make provision for the holding of a referendum where at least 5% of the local government electors in that authority's area petition for an elected Mayor.
