Three councillors form new group on Worthing Borough Council

Following last week's local elections, three Worthing councillors have formed a new political group on the council.

Cllr Carl Walker (Selden), Cllr Hilary Schan (Tarring) and Cllr Margaret Howard (Broadwater) have left the Labour Party to form Worthing Community Independents.

They will now sit as a group in opposition at council meetings.

The council is now made up of 23 Labour members, nine Conservatives, three Worthing Community Independents and two Greens.
