Extra care housing

Extra care housing schemes are aimed at people aged 55 years or over who have support needs and some care needs.

Consisting of independent flats, each with their own front door, these schemes allow residents to live independently but gives them access to care and support services on-site. There is a limited amount of these schemes available in Adur and Worthing.

Extra care housing is not suitable for people who need full time residential or nursing care. If you or a family member needs accommodation with more support please see:

Apply for extra care housing

If you would like to apply for extra care housing, you must first:

• Apply to join the Housing Register
