Appeal at land north west of Goring Railway Station, Goring-by-Sea, Worthing

Following Worthing Borough Council's successful legal challenge against the Planning Inspectorate's decision to allow hundreds of home to be built at Chatsmore Farm, the original decision was quashed.
A further Public Inquiry was held in the Gordon Room at Worthing Town Hall over seven days during September and October 2024.

Since the consideration of the previous appeal in 2022, the new Worthing Local Plan has been adopted. The Inspector for the Inquiry into the Local Plan indicated to the council that it was right to protect the site from development in the plan.
