Petitions
Adur District Council and Worthing Borough Council wish to enable all people resident, working or studying in the District/Borough to petition the respective Council and to obtain a response that meets the expectations of the petitioner or provides a reasoned explanation for why those expectations cannot be met.
The Councils provide a number of ways in which petitions may be considered depending on the subject, the actions sought, and the number of signatories.
If you wish to submit a petition you need to meet the requirements as set out in the Petition Scheme for the relevant Council which you can download below:
- Adur District Council - Petitions Scheme (1,045KB)
- Worthing Borough Council - Petitions Scheme (610KB)
For further information and advice please contact Democratic Services.
The petition schemes shown above were adopted by the Adur & Worthing Councils on the 17th and 15th of July 2014 respectively.
