Members Allowances Assessment
Government Regulations require Members Allowances to be assessed by an Independent Remuneration Panel, made up from members of the public who are not councillors or staff of the authority, nor have any specific political affiliation.

Joint Independent Remuneration Panel (JIRP)
A joint panel of independent people who recommend to Adur & Worthing Councils the members' allowances specific to each Council. The recommendations go to the Joint Governance Committee.
