Why we need your personal data:

The purpose of processing your personal data is to facilitate public consultations, across Adur and Worthing.

The legal basis for processing your data is:

  • GDPR Article 6(1)(b) is necessary in the performance of a contract or the intention to enter into a contract.
  • Article 6(1)(c) processing is necessary for the compliance of a legal obligation to which the controller is subject.
  • Article 6(1)(e) processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.

What we collect and how it is used:

For consultations, we may collect your name, address and contact details for the purpose of contacting you about future stages of the consultation for which you have provided a response and only where you provided these details voluntarily.

We will not share personal data with other departments within the councils and external organisations.

How long the information is kept for:

Records are kept in accordance with the Council's disposal schedule and we will not keep your information for longer than necessary.
