Fire safety improvement works to sheltered housing schemes and general needs blocks of flats

The contractor AD Construction Ltd has been instructed to commence fire safety improvement works to the council's general needs blocks of flats and sheltered housing schemes.

The work required to the sheltered housing schemes will be completed in one phase and is expected to be completed by Spring/Summer 2022.

The general needs blocks of flats will be completed in several phases with the first phase expected to complete in the Summer of 2022.

Following this Phase 2 will start in Autumn 2022 and will take approximately two years to be completed.

All works are within the communal areas and residents will receive a letter explaining what works will be completed, where and when.
