Small Business Grants and Apprenticeship Grants
Adur & Worthing Councils, in partnership with Adur and Worthing Business Partnership, are pleased to announce a fifth round of funding for Small Business Grants and Apprenticeship Grants.
These highly successful grants for micro and small businesses in Adur and Worthing aim to encourage growth of the local economy and stimulate new employment opportunities, as well as facilitate spend using local suppliers and retailers over national chains and discount sellers.
The Small Business & Apprenticeship Grants are currently closed to new applications
Small Business Grant
Available to local micro businesses with up to 10 employees, these grants of up to £2,500 require a 50% match funding contribution.
For example, if you wanted to purchase some equipment for your business at the cost of £1,500, you could apply for a grant of £750, and match it with a personal contribution of £750. Any added VAT is not counted within the project costs and will not be refunded.
Applications with a strong green and/or sustainable element and who have not previously accessed funding will take priority.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate how the funds will develop their business. Grant funds payment is made retrospectively, so applicants will need to ensure they have total funds available upfront and ready to start the project straight away. Once approved, applicants will be required to supply relevant paid invoices within 30 days.
